Industrial oxygen generators utilize the pressure swing adsorption principle, employing high-quality zeolite molecular sieve as the adsorbent to extract oxygen from the air under certain pressure. Purified and dried compressed air undergoes pressurized adsorption and depressurized desorption in the adsorber. Due to aerodynamic effects, nitrogen diffuses much faster in the micropores of the zeolite molecular sieve than oxygen, so nitrogen is preferentially adsorbed by the sieve, while oxygen is enriched in the gas phase, forming the final oxygen product. The pressure is then reduced to atmospheric levels, allowing the adsorbent to desorb impurities such as nitrogen, thereby achieving regeneration. Typically, the system is equipped with two adsorption towers: one tower adsorbs to produce oxygen, while the other undergoes desorption and regeneration. The opening and closing of pneumatic valves are controlled by a PLC program controller, enabling the two towers to alternate cycles and achieve continuous production of oxygen with a certain purity.
